Week 1: Optimal Mental Health Nutrition Plan, Digestion, & Hydration

Discover what foods are needed to manufacture your mood-enhancing brain chemistry! Learn how vital the health of your digestive tract is to brain health and how hydration plays a critical role! Your mental health is impacted not only by the nutrients that you provide through the foods that you eat but your body's ability to break down those foods to obtain nutrients and then transport them throughout the body where needed. Your diet, digestion, and hydration levels play crucial roles in allowing this to happen properly to optimize mental health. 

Week 2: Gut Microbiome & Sleep

There is a gut-brain connection. The enteric nervous system consists of 500 million neurons within the intestinal tract (from the esophagus to the anus) that communicate with the brain via the vagus nerve. What is happening in your digestive tract effects the brain and vice versa! Learn how to restore bacterial balance in the digestive tract in order to optimize mental health. You will also learn how valuable sleep is. Discover what roots may be preventing you from getting a good nights rest and what you can do to correct them. 

Week 3: Liver Health & Hormones

Your liver has many functions including filtering toxins and used up hormones from the body. It also creates cholesterol which is necessary for hormone production. You will learn how to nourish the liver and provide the groundwork for healthy hormones. When hormones are out of balance, brain chemistry follows. 

Week 4: Detoxification & Additional Nutrient Support

Heavy metals are particularly damaging to the brain which can result in mental health problems. We are all exposed to toxins in our environment (air, water, and land) to some degree or another based on where we live. Many people are feeling the need to detox however, without properly preparing the body for detox, your body and mind can suffer. Learn how to prepare the body to properly detox and provide the necessary nutrients to support detoxification and brain health in order to Optimize Mental Health.
